CALEDON CITIZEN JANUARY 3, 2013 Arts and Entertainment Orangeville Chorus, Sweet Adelines International are expressing their gratitude to the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) for a $13,000 grant for the purchase of new risers, microphones and video equipment. Dufferin-Caledon MPP Sylvia Jones recently joined OTF representative Richard Fearon in congratulating the musical group. “I am pleased that the Sweet Adelines have been successful in receiving an Ontario Trillium Foundation grant,” she commented. “They have enjoyed local and international success, winning many awards, and this grant allows our community to enjoy even more concerts and performances by the Orangeville Sweet Adelines.” More sections of risers were purchased to accommodate the growing number of chorus members and the audio visual equipment enables the group’s technical team to provide instant videos on a built-in projector. The new microphone headset system can be worn by both directors simultaneously as well as a guest. A leading grant maker in Canada, the Ontario Trillium Foundation strengthens the capacity of the voluntary sector through investments in community-based initiatives. An agency of the Government of Ontario, OTF builds healthy and vibrant communities. January 2013 |
