 The Orangeville Chorus is honoured to have received the Town of Orangeville's 2011 Arts & Culture 'Community Impact of an Organization' Award. Announced by Gary Vipond at the Mayor's Breakfast for the Arts on September 29, Master Directors Pat Vipond and Joan Borden accepted the award from Mayor Rob Adams. The event was held as part of Culture Days, celebrated across Canada and established to raise Canadians' awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement in the arts and in the cultural life of their communities Individuals, businesses and organizations that have contributed to all arts and culture in the community were recognized by the Town, selected by an independent panel of judges.
