A visit from York Harmony Chorus

The Orangeville Chorus was taken by surprise during their weekly rehearsal on September 5 when the members of the York Highlands Chorus walked into the Horizon Event Centre where they were rehearsing.  York Harmony Chorus, a sister chorus in Sweet Adelines International's Region 16 and directed by Martha DeClerq, presented a gift to each Orangeville member and sang "Seasons of Love" and "Believe" in expression of their warm wishes of good luck to the Orangeville Chorus as they prepare for competition in Denver, CO in October. Orangeville then performed their 'Denver package' for the members of the York Highlands Chorus, to great applause!  To finish the evening, both choruses gathered on the risers and performed together under the direction of each director. The Orangeville Chorus is thrilled to know that several members of the York Highlands Chorus will be in attendance in Denver to cheer them on. September 2012
